THINKING
OF BUYING A BOAT? PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING. Aliboats
endeavour to suit each hull to the job it will be expected to do. You, the buyer,
can assist us enormously and receive a considerably more accurate quote if you
provide us with as much relevant information as possible at the outset. The
difference between aluminium and fibreglass/PVC boats is that a customer can have
the internals placed wherever he wants them right at the outset - within reason
of course. For example - the console can be on the left, right, or centre - it
can be forward, amidships or aft ..... Not
all of our questions will necessarily relate to the boat you want, however, if
you let us have as much of the information listed below as might be applicable
to your requirements we will have gone a long way towards eliminating any misunderstandings
and providing you with a quote that at least bears a resemblance to your "real"
requirements. 1)
What size boat do you want? 2) How many passengers do you want to carry?
3) What volume/weight of cargo do you want to carry (exclusive of passengers)?
4) We only use top marine grade aluminium suitable for salt water but the shape
and thickness of each hull is specific to each application. 5) What kind
of propulsion system do you want (outboard, jet, Z-drive [diesel or petrol], Air
boat [aircraft prop], etc.)? 6) What fuel capacity do you require (operating
range)? 7) What seating arrangements do you want? 8) Do you want a console
or wheelhouse? 9) Where do you want the console/wheelhouse? 10) Do you
want carpets or tread plate decks? 11) Do you need weather protection (top
deck, flying sail, sleeping cabin / bunks, toilet, etc) 12) If a fishing boat,
which of the following do you need - live well, bait well, electric stalking motor,
rod holders, rod lockers, stowage lockers, fitted fish finder, GPS, compass, anchor,
line outriggers, etc. 13) Do you need special equipment facilities, for example:
hard weapons mounts, underwater search equipment, fitted radar, marine band, VHF
or/and HF radios (fitted - yes/no?), Night running lights, life saving equipment
(jackets/rings), first aid box, fire extinguishers, etc. 14) Do you need a
boat trailer (paved or off road?), and roadworthy certificate (for which country?)
15) We also build an "all aluminium" trailer - very suitable for repeated
and continuous use in salt water. A galvanised trailer will eventually succumb
to corrosion in the sea - our "submersible trailer" will last "for
ever". 16) Do you want the hull delivered? (We deliver to any port in
Africa [Angola, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, etc] & by road as far north as Kenya,
Uganda, etc.). Please
email
us with as much of the aforementioned information as possible, or simply
go to our enquiry form
and select the options applicable to your requirements. |
